IRS Tax Return Transcripts

TAX RETURN TRANSCRIPTS: How to get your "Record of Account Transcript"

The IRS (Internal Revenue Service) offers several types of transcripts, at no cost. The one we will require for your case (unless specified otherwise), is the Record of Account Transcript.

  • Record of Account Transcript - combines the tax return and tax account transcripts into one complete transcript. This transcript is available for the current and three prior tax years using Get Transcript Online  or Form 4506-T.
  • Other types of available transcripts, which are NOT required, unless otherwise specified, are the following: Tax Return Transcript, Tax Account Transcript, and Wage & Income Transcript.

The fastest way to obtain your transcript is online. You can also request it by mail or calling 800-908-9946, in which case the primary taxpayer on the return must make the request.

GET YOUR RECORD OF ACCOUNT TRANSCRIPT ONLINE

You may register to get your Online Transcript to view, print or download all transcript types mentioned above.
