Sample Good Faith Marriage evidence

In order to show a good faith marriage USCIS and USDOS want to see that your lives are mixed together and financially and otherwise entangled.  This can include but is not limited to:

 

  • birth certificates for your children
  • mortgage or leases you have had together
  • health insurance where one spouse is named on the other’s policy
  • car insurance where one spouse is additional insured on the other’s policy
  • life or other insurance where spouse is named as Beneficiary
  • joint car title
  • joint utility bills
  • joint water bill
  • joint garbage bill
  • furniture or other purchases you may have made together
  • debts you have together
  • joint bank accounts
  • joint stock certificates
  • joint financial transactions of any kind such as a CD, savings bond or similar
  • joint tax returns for Federal or state income tax return
  • tickets from a joint trip
  • School forms listing step-parent spouse
  • Pictures of both of you with family members or friends at various times, locations
